Between climbing Giovanni like a tree in an attempt to get away from miasma, pepper spraying him in the nose their first day in the mansion, and relating to him the trauma of discovering Olympia's dead body, Yachi's interactions with Giovanni have all been clouded with danger and despair. He takes care of all his minions, but if there's anyone who needs the most protecting, it's her.

After he attacked Todd and got knives in the sides for his troubles, this feeling only intensified. He's the boss, and he watches out for his minions, even the ones who have death wishes!
RIN TOHSAKA. "NEMESIS" ●●●●○ As a self-proclaimed ally of justice, it was inevitable that Rin would end up Giovanni's rival... at least, as he sees it. They got off to an eventful start when he beaned her with his Soul Slugger and she kicked him in the dick. Being made to bunk together didn't make their relationship any easier, but Giovanni's come to grudgingly respect her sense of fun. He's still holding her to her promise to play baseball against him once they get out of here.

SISSEL. "HELLCAT" ●●●●● Yes, Giovanni's closest friend here is a talking cat. Sissel has basically adopted Giovanni, which, let's be real, he kind of needs. The little dude patiently plays along with Gio's chuuni-ness and has even started calling him "Captain Doomkiller". They were also both close to Sho, and his death hit them hard.
